The Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (VOR) GmbH is the largest public transport association in Austria and has been ensuring comprehensive mobility and extensive services for all passengers in Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland since 1984. With more than 40 rail and bus transport partners, it provides widespread transportation coverage.

Legal Form: The provinces of Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland are shareholders of a limited liability company (GmbH): Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (VOR) GmbH.
Purpose of the Company: The company is responsible for the functioning of the public transportation network in the eastern region of Austria, as stipulated in a separate basic and financing agreement between the shareholders and the federal government. To achieve this, the company handles planning, coordination, and implementation tasks for the collaborating transportation companies, whose tariff autonomy is not affected by this agreement.
