Driving without a ticket

Without a valid ticket, an additional charge of up to €185.00 must be paid. Schoolchildren and apprentices are also required to carry a valid ticket as well as a valid school or apprentice ID at all times.

Ticket inspection

If you happen to forget your personalised VOR ticket during an inspection, this is not a problem: if you submit a copy or scan of your personalised VOR ticket within two weeks of the inspection, the penalty fare will be cancelled – provided that the ticket had already been purchased prior to the inspection. Please note, however, that according to the fare regulations, the transport operators and VOR reserve the right to charge a processing fee for the subsequent verification of an annual pass.
