In Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland there are numerous worthwhile cycle routes. With the VOR AnachB route planner and the VOR AnachB App, you can plan longer routes without hesitation, as you can combine cycling and public transport. And Bike+Ride facilities also offer free parking spaces at the stations for short breaks in between.
Bicycle transport on regional buses
It is only possible to take a bicycle on special buses with bicycle trailers and for an additional charge of € 2 or € 1 (for bicycles of persons under 15 years of age).
Only bicycles without superstructures and without (child) trailers can be transported. Child seats and luggage must be removed for transportation. E-bikes can also be transported. Folded folding bikes and scooters may be taken on all forms of public transport. Please note that no space can be guaranteed on public transport.

Taking bicycles on the train
On ÖBB local trains marked with a bicycle symbol (S-Bahn, Regionalzug, Regional-Express), bicycles can be carried without reservation and if space is available. A special ÖBB bike ticket is required. Weekly or monthly tickets are also available.
Annual ticket bonus
With your annual ticket for the Vienna core zone or your VOR KlimaTicket MetropolRegion or KlimaTicket Austria, you can also transport your bicycle free of charge on ÖBB trains within Vienna Monday to Friday (weekdays) between 9 am and 3 pm and from 6:30 pm. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, bicycles can be carried all day.
- Due to the limited number of spaces, a reservation is required to take bicycles on long-distance trains. You can find more information on the website of the ÖBB.
- All ÖBB bike tickets are recognized on Raaberbahn trains.
- On the Mariazellerbahn bicycles can be taken on board with the NÖVOG bicycle ticket - if space is available.
- It is not possible to take bicycles on Wiener Lokalbahnen (WLB) trains (Wiener Lokalbahnen (WLB)).

Taking bicycles on the subway
You can take your bike with you free of charge on all routes of the Vienna subway at the following times:

With WienMobil Rad - the bike sharing service from Wiener Linien - you can now travel even more flexibly and sustainably. With 3000 bikes and over 240 stations throughout the city. You can register once via the website or the nextbike app. The costs depend on the duration of the rental. Further information: www.wienmobilrad.at.
nextbike
Explore the eastern region with bikes from nextbike. These are available for you to hire at many locations in Lower Austria and Burgenland. You can return them at any nextbike location.
All rental bike stations are incorporated into the VOR AnachB Routenplaner and the VOR AnachB App and can therefore be selected as a starting or destination point when you make your request. You can register via the website, the app or by telephone. Further information: www.nextbike.at.
