General Informationen

  • Personal network: In the case of weekly, monthly and annual tickets, it indicates which routes (sections) of the association lines can be used. The personal network for the respective ticket can be found in the price information.
  • Vienna core zone: All public transport in Vienna, except airport bus, Flixbus, CAT, tourist transport, WESTbahn and RegioJet
  • Vienna regional traffic: All ÖBB, Raaberbahn and Wiener Lokalbahnen trains (in the Vösendorf-Siebenhirten section to Vienna Matzleinsdorfer Platz) as well as regional bus lines (route number at least 3 digits) with the exception of the airport bus, Flixbus, CAT, tourist services, WESTbahn and RegioJet
  • Not valid in Vienna: No travel authorization for public transport in Vienna or for people driving through Vienna if they do not already have a ticket for Vienna.

  • Toddlers: Passengers up to the age of 6 travel for free in the VOR. In addition, children in Vienna are transported free of charge on Wiener Linien, Wiener Lokalbahnen and VOR regional bus lines until they start compulsory schooling. A document showing the date of birth of the respective passenger and which can be clearly assigned to the person is considered proof of entitlement.

  • Children and adolescents: Passengers up to the age of 15 pay a reduced fare for single and day tickets. In Vienna, passengers up to the age of 15 are transported free of charge on Sundays and public holidays, as well as during school holidays in Vienna. A document showing the date of birth of the respective passenger and which can be clearly assigned to the person is considered proof of entitlement.

  • Students: Passengers at an inland public school, private school with public status, nursing school or school of medical-technical specialist services and paramedic services up to 24 years of age. A student ID card from a school in Germany serves as proof. vocational students Passengers who complete their regular training at a public vocational school in Germany up to the age of 24 apprentices Passengers up to 24 years of age who attend a company training center on the basis of a legally recognized apprenticeship students Passengers who are enrolled regular students in a field of study according to § 3 StudFG, provided they are not older than 26 before the start of the semester. Valid only with student ID or in Vienna with confirmation of enrollment. Outside the Vienna core zone, the ÖBB Vorteilscard Jugend is also required.

  • Senior Citizens: All assengers aged 64 and over. Seniors can purchase single tickets and day tickets (not for domestic trips within the core zone of Vienna) at a reduced fare for journeys in the network area. The ÖBB Vorteilscard Senior or the ÖBB Österreichcard Senior is required as proof of entitlement in connection with a photo ID. For journeys within the core zone of Vienna, a photo ID showing the date of birth is sufficient as proof of entitlement.
